Taiwan has won 18 gold medals, 17 silvers and nine bronzes at this year's iENA Nuremberg, a leading international trade fair for ideas, inventions and new products.

Now in its 68th year, the fair drew more than 700 entries from 36 countries this year, including 51 from Taiwan.

Among the gold medal winners from Taiwan were a hydrogen-rich water maker invented by students at Taipei City University of Science and Technology, a theft-proof hook invented by a student at Keelung Municipal Ming Chwan Junior High School, and a fire starter invented by a student at Taipei Municipal Min Sheng Junior High School.
