Lighting show illuminates the bright possibilities of LEDs
Taiwan Trade Center, Bucharest

Innovative LED lighting solutions were a major attraction of this year's Taiwan International Lighting Show (TILS).
One only needed to walk the show floors of TILS 2017 to see the market is now at a stage where LEDs have become the preferred light source for a variety of applications.
LEDs are solid-state lighting. This means they don’t use filaments or gases to produce light like incandescent or fluorescent lights do. Instead, LEDs use semiconductors to convert electricity into light. This property makes LEDs the ideal choice for a wide range of applications.
For example, at TILS 2017, HPL introduced a high power IR LED for security applications. The IR LED technology gives the products superior lifespans and less power consumption. The result is a high performing product with less maintenance costs.
Also at the show, ADATA introduced its human-centric lighting technology. LEDs can generate better quality light output and can be tuned to almost any color appearance. ADATA's innovation uses the power of LEDs to produce the best lighting for different scenarios in everyday living.
Meanwhile, NYPI launched a CCD LED automated inspection system, which is designed to boost the efficiency of production lines.
TILS 2017 was attended by over 11,000 visitors from 50 countries. Buyers from South and Southeast Asia accounted for over 30% the show's international visitors.
The show was jointly-held by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, the Taiwan Lighting Fixture Export Association (TLFEA), and TAITRA at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall from April 12-15.
